You have already read the previous articles in this series.
Now its time to give the final touch to an application and make it ready to publish on PlayStore. We have below issues with our application right now.

  1. Splash Screen is showing ActionBar which is not good in looking.
  2. Splash screen image is covering the full page.
  3. On clicking back we just throw outside the application.
  4. Our application has no icon.
  5. APK created is not signed so it cannot be uploaded to PlayStore.
Now let's fix them one by one.

Remove ActionBar from Activity

Go to app -> res -> values -> styles.xml

You will see a <Style> tag with parent value Theme.AppCompat.Light.DarkActionBar just replaced it with Theme.AppCompat.Light.NoActionBar. That's it and you see below output.

Use Image in Splash Screen

Now we use a full image so it will cover full Splash Screen Activity. In app -> res -> drawable put your image and update its name in activity_splash.xml under <ImageView android:id.
So now the final output of Splash screen will be like this.
Make sure to change width and height of ImageView used in Splash screen as match_parent so it will fill full mobile screen.
